| Free kicks | Hall 1, Schär 2 |
? = no Premier League games yet, so the start probability comes from where the player sits in his club's price order rather than from anything he has done here. Players on the same rung get the same number.
The number is the order FPL publishes, so 1 is first in line. An empty situation means FPL has not published an order for it, which is not the same as nobody taking them. Pre-season there are a lot of blanks.

This table answers one question: who starts. Projected points for the same players are in GoalIQ Premium, along with the tools that use them. Start is our projected chance of starting, not a lineup leak. We do not watch press conferences. The shape is the highest-probability starter at each position, so it will not always match the manager's formation.
Three things this table gets wrong in a way worth knowing. A player who missed most of last season is read as a rotation player, because the estimate leans on the minutes he actually played and it cannot tell an injury from a benching. A player who changed clubs is read from minutes he played for someone else. Both carry a ! here. And the shape is fixed, so a club that plays five in midfield will always have one real starter pushed out of this eleven.
Missing from that eleven, with our start chance and last season's minutes: Willock (67%, 972 min) and Livramento (21%, 1326 min) played a short season, so the estimate reads that as rotation.
Squad turnover
25% of last season's minutes were played by players who have since left. The rating is fitted on results, so it has not priced that in yet.
